Presentation of the SHIELD EU Project at the 10th Seminar of the European Office of FECYT

On 29 October 2025, the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología (FECYT) organised the 10th Seminar of the European Office of FECYT, held in Ávila (Spain). The event brought together representatives from research institutions, universities, and organisations involved in European R&I projects to exchange experiences and best practices. During the seminar, Inmaculada Luengo (project coordinator) had the opportunity to present the SHIELD EU Project, highlighting its main objectives, current progress, and expected impact on enhancing passenger safety and behavioural analytics. The session fostered a fruitful discussion with participants, whose questions and reflections will contribute to strengthening the project’s future development and results. We would like to express our gratitude to FECYT for the invitation and to Marta Marín Barba for her excellent organisation and support throughout the event. We look forward to sharing new results and advancements of the SHIELD project in future editions of the seminar.

SHIELD Project Kick-Off Meeting

On the 10th and 11th of December, the @SHIELD project officially began with a Kick-Off Meeting held at the @HI-Iberia headquarters in Madrid.Over these two days, the consortium came together to discuss key aspects of the project, including the definition of clinical trials and scenarios, as well as initial steps for management, dissemination, ethics oversight, and more.The meeting was incredibly productive and set the tone for the exciting work ahead. To top it off, we embraced the festive spirit of the season with a delightful night walk under Madrid’s sparkling Christmas lights.A huge thank you to the entire SHIELD consortium for such engaging discussions and collaboration. We’re looking forward to working together over the next four years on this challenging and impactful project!
